AbiliTech – Enabling Aids & Equipment
Coping with a disability is not easy, whether it affects you personally or someone you care about and want to help.
There are many forms of disability, some much worse than others, but even small changes, perhaps brought about with age, can have a dramatic effect on your quality of life. However, the good news is that there are many ways to compensate in areas where you are not as able as you used to be. In fact, if you have not investigated the ability market recently, you may be amazed by the number and type of aids that are available and that can help and improve your life.
There are several kinds of disability. On the AbiliTech site we concentrate on physical disabilities which affect your ability to do some physical action, be it moving, hearing, walking or bathroom problems. But it's not all about wheelchairs. We also write about monitoring and testing for various problems including diabetes which now affects over 7.8% of the population of the USA - that's around 23.6 million men, women and children.
Most situations can be helped with the assistance of a range of aids and equipment. This can range from something as simple as a walking stick or a motorised scooter, to regular drug treatment for diabetes or similar conditions.
Regular Monitoring
Other more complicated conditions may require different aids or more sophisticated ones such as braces and supports, more regular monitoring or custom-designed and tailored aids.
We cover a wide range of equipment on the AbiliTech site. Check out the Categories and read through the Archives and see how you can make your life a little easier so you can live it on your own terms.
And for those of us who are lucky enough to be fully enabled, be grateful, be thoughtful, be caring, and do your utmost to help those who are not so fortunate.
